Call us to set up an appointment to review your needs and options so we can customize your experience. We also offer retreat experiences, which include our Relaxing Hobbies Classes and a stay at our Enchanted Farm Cottage Since purchasing our farm in 1988, we have maintained a pesticide-free living and growing environment. Our gardens grow pesticide-free produce. Our animals are fenced for protection but are free ranging and are not fed hormones or other harmful substances. It's a serene and productive setting. Each year we have expanded our gardens. We considered having a Community Supported Agriculture program where people buy shares for a season. However, Michael's love for gardening is more hobby-like and a form of tension release from his busy schedule. Having a CSA program seemed too much like another business with quotas and deadlines and not enough like a relaxing hobby. So we've opted out of that plan for now. Hobby or not, Michael has an extremely green thumb and everything he plants grows exponentially. So this year, with our expanded gardens, we are offering produce to the public on Saturdays from May until November or the first frost. Our farm stand will be open at the farm on 1804 E. College from 9AM to 3PM each Saturday. Signs will point you in the right direction. We will offer our free-range pesticide-free eggs also, on a first come first serve basis for $2.50 a dozen. Many of you have asked if we will have our famous garlic again and yes, it's growing nicely and should be ready sometime in June. We are growing many varieties of fruits and vegetables that will be available to you during these months. Come by each Saturday for the current harvest. We will also have cooking demonstrations and recipes for the produce available each week. This lets you try new fruits and vegetables that, maybe, you wouldn't have eaten in the past. It also gives you new ideas for your old favorites. You might wonder why we aren't participating in the local Farmer's Market. Although we support the Farmer's Market as an excellent way for local growers to sell their products, we find it too difficult to do our farm work, pack up our produce and be ready by 7AM each Saturday. This also limits the types of cooking demonstrations and programs and classes we can offer at our farm on Saturdays. We think that a trip to our farm is a wonderful experience for all. So we hope you'll agree. Bring the kids and a fishing pole. We offer catch and release fishing on our pond during produce sale times on Saturday's. The pond is also a relaxing place to just sit and watch nature or our highly entertaining chickens and goats. It's a great picnic spot. We hope you'll come and see what we have to offer.
